When you use Outalot as an unregistered user, our servers automatically record certain information from your mobile device or web browser. For unregistered users, we send a session-based cookie, a small text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters, to your computer or mobile phone. This session-based cookie will disappear after you close your browser.

Registered Users

There are several benefits to becoming a registered user of Outalot, including the ability to rate, review, and tag businesses. You may also wish to add businesses to "Bookmarks", which is your personalized list of restaurants, bars, and movie theaters. "Bookmarks" lists are publicly available. When you use Outalot as a registered user, our servers automatically record certain information from your mobile device or web browser. For registered users, we set a persistent cookie, a small text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters, to your computer or mobile phone. This persistent cookie remains after you close your borwser and may be used by your browser on subsequent visit to Outalot. Persistent cookies can be removed. Please be aware that any personally identifiable information or location information that you voluntarily disclose online through your "Bookmarks" list, like when you review venues, becomes publicly available and can be viewed, collected, and used by unregistered and registered users alike.
